1. Who we are
nexusbyf.com ("Nexus BYF", "we", "us"), operated by NEXUS BYF FZ-LLC, is an online B2B marketplace where companies publish company profiles, buy requirements and sell offers, and contact each other. The website is operated by NEXUS BYF FZ-LLC, No 1254, RAKEZ Free Zone, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@nexusbyf.com.
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit the website, create an account (including with "Sign in with Google"), publish listings or contact other members, how we use and share that data, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: your name, email address, optional mobile number and country, and your password (stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider). If you sign up with email, we also record the time you agreed to this policy and our Terms.
- Data from Google sign-in: see section 3.
- Company profile data you choose to publish: company name, business type, country and city, products, description, year established, and business contact details (contact person, business email, phone / WhatsApp, website).
- Verification documents you upload (for example trade licence, ID, address proof, export/import proof). These are stored privately and are seen only by our verification team.
- Listings and messages: the buy requirements and sell offers you post, and the inquiries you send or receive through the website.
- Membership and billing data: your plan, its start and end dates and payment status. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Job applications sent through our Careers page (contact details and CV).
- Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and approximate location, collected through essential cookies, server logs and Google Analytics.
3. Google user data (Sign in with Google)
If you choose "Sign in with Google" or "Sign up with Google", Google shares the following with us, only after you approve it on Google's screen:
- your name,
- your email address and whether Google has verified it,
- your Google profile picture (if you have one), and
- a unique Google account ID used to recognise you when you sign in again.
How we use it: only to create your Nexus BYF account, sign you in securely, show your name in your account, and send you account and service emails (for example inquiry alerts and membership confirmations). We do not request access to your Gmail, contacts, Google Drive, calendar or any other Google data.
How we share it: we do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with anyone except our authentication and hosting providers (Supabase and Vercel) that store it on our behalf, or where the law requires it. Your Google email is not shown publicly; only the business contact details you enter in your company profile are shown, as described in section 5.
Storage and deletion: Google user data is stored in our account database for as long as your account is open. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see section 8), and you can remove Nexus BYF's access in your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. How we use your data
- To create and manage your account and company profile.
- To publish your listings and show your profile to other users.
- To deliver inquiries between members and send related email alerts.
- To process membership payments, activate plans and send confirmations and renewal notices.
- To verify companies and keep the marketplace safe, including preventing fraud, spam and misuse.
- To answer your messages and support requests.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
- To send occasional news and offers about Nexus BYF, only where allowed by law; every such email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
5. Who can see your data
- Public: your listings and parts of your company profile (business type, country, products and description).
- Paid members only: company names and business contact details (email, phone / WhatsApp) are shown to Trader, Business and Global members.
- Private: inquiries are visible only to the sender, the recipient and our administrators. Verification documents, your login email and payment details are never shown to other users.
6. Service providers
We use trusted providers who process data on our behalf, under their own security and data-protection terms: Supabase (database, file storage and authentication), Vercel (website hosting), Stripe (card payments), Zoho and Resend (sending email), and Google (sign-in and Google Analytics). Some of these providers store data outside the UAE; where they do, we rely on their contractual and security safeguards. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
We do not sell your personal data.
7. How long we keep data
We keep account, profile and listing data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons (for example payment records), which we keep only as long as the law requires.
8. Your rights and choices
You can view and edit your profile at any time in My Account. You may also ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, restrict or object to its use, or delete your account and data, by emailing info@nexusbyf.com from your account email. We reply within 30 days. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the data protection authority in your country.
9. Security
We use HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, access controls that limit who can see each kind of data, and private storage for documents. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password safe and tell us at once if you suspect misuse of your account.
10. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure your session, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how the website is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the website may not work properly without essential cookies.
11. Children
Nexus BYF is a service for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for important changes, notify registered users by email or on the website.
